What Happens Inside Your Cells When You Sit in the EESystem
You walk into the centre, settle into a chair, and within minutes most people feel something shift. Some drift into a deep, almost weightless calm. Others leave buzzing with energy, like they have just had eight hours of sleep. For years, this split has been one of the most asked questions at Energy Wave Brighton. Why does the same session relax one person and energise another? Or why can the same person feel deeply rested one week and raring to go the next?
A 2025 study from Dr. Glen Rein, PhD, at the Quantum Biology Research Lab gives us a fascinating clue.
What the research looked at
Dr. Rein wanted to know whether sitting in an EESystem actually changes the electrical activity inside human cells. Every cell in your body runs on tiny electrical currents. They power healing, repair, and how cells talk to each other. When that voltage is strong, you feel well. When it weakens, vitality drops.
This is not the first time scalar wave technology has been studied. An earlier paper by Dr. Rein found that human DNA itself increased its electrical conductivity by 28 percent in response to the EESystem's scalar waves. The new 2025 study takes this further by looking at whole human cells in real people.
Twenty-five volunteers spent a total of 24 hours inside an EESystem over three days. Researchers measured the electrical conductivity of their cells before and after, using a precise method called electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
What they discovered
92 percent of participants showed measurable changes in their cellular electrical energy.
That is 23 out of 25 people. But here is where it gets interesting.
Some people's cells became more electrically active. Others became less so. The body did not respond in one fixed direction. It responded based on what each individual needed.
Most participants showed a slowing down. Dr. Rein links this to the fact that almost all volunteers also had weak heart rate regulation, a sign of a body running on low reserves and needing to repair. In other words, their systems were dropping into a restorative gear so the deeper work of healing could happen. The smaller group whose cells became more active appeared to be coming back online, switching from depleted to revitalised.
Why this matters for your sessions
This is exactly what we observe in the centre week after week. One person comes in exhausted and leaves feeling like they have finally been allowed to rest. Another comes in foggy and leaves clear and switched on. People sometimes wonder if they are doing it wrong. They are not. Their body is simply taking what it needs.
Dr. Rein's study suggests the EESystem does not push your body in one direction. It supports your body's own intelligence to find balance. If you need to slow down and repair, that is what happens. If you need to come back online, that happens instead.
Brighton's place in this growing field
The research was carried out in Colorado, it adds to a body of evidence that is finally starting to explain what people feel when they sit in scalar wave technology. As Brighton's only EESystem centre, we are proud to offer a space where this kind of restoration is accessible locally. You do not need to fly to a research lab. You can experience it on Stanford Avenue, near Preston Park.
